Loving Annabelle is the controversial movie by director Katherine Brooks. The movie was released on limited release in 2006 and has gained fans within the lesbian community through word of mouth and the DVD release.
The movie follows the life of rebellious student "Annabelle" played by the beautiful Erin Kelly. "Annabelle" has been expelled from every school she has been to so far. Her Mother, an unloving workaholic Senator decides to send her to a Catholic school in the hopes that she will buckle down, if not it's a military school next!
On her first days arrival at the school "Annabelle" spots "Simone Bradley" played by the beautiful older actress Diane Gaidry. "Simone" is a poetry teacher at the school as well as being an ex student, and her Aunt is the strict Mother Superior.
"Simone" is in a loveless relationship with a male teacher from another school. "Annabelle" can see that she is not happy and finds an old inscription written on a rock in the grounds of the school that leads her to believe that when "Simone" was a student she may have had a relationship with a fellow female pupil.
Determined to find out if her instincts are right about "Simone" and her past love of the same sex, "Annabelle" decides to pursue her teacher and see if she can help "Simone" rekindle those feelings of love and happiness.
The ending of the movie was changed to a less controversial one from the one originally intended. But if you purchase the DVD you can see the alternate ending which never made it to the big screen and I think is a much better and more realistic one.
I made 2 videos for this movie. I like the way the videos turned out from a creative point of view, but sadly the quality is not the best as I was working from a poor source for my clips. Hopefully that will not detract from your viewing pleasure.
