Fingersmith was a 2005 BBC adaptation in 2 parts of Sarah Waters wonderfully written book. The story follows the interaction of 2 very different women in Victorian England.
The first part is told from the point of view of "Sue Trinder" played beautifully by Sally Hawkins. "Sue" is accustomed to the rough streets of London and lives with a band of pickpockets and cons. Due to a set of circumstances she is sent to a country house to become the maid to reclusive "Maude Lilly".
The second part of the story is told from the point of view of "Maude" played flawlessly by Elaine Cassidy. "Maude" is a shy girl who lives alone with her elderly Uncle who has brought her up in a very strict and reclusive way since her birth when her Mother died.
The story follows their relationship as it goes through all kinds of twists and turns and the realization that they have feelings for each other.
I have to credit this wonderful show for starting me off on my journey of editing music videos. I ended up making 5 videos in all.
Please enjoy all of the videos and be sure to let me know what you think of them in the comments section, and don't forget to rate them.
